There is so much beauty to be found in the threads of our everyday lives from the garments we wear, to the bags in which we carry things, the cloth that adorns and protects the tables at which we ea, and so much more. Thread is a limitless material that can challenge and reward us in art making, whether it be for practical or fine art purposes. At [things/found] Atelier, we love the concepts of reuse and transformation, using everyday fibers in new ways, using fancy fibers to make unexpected things. We love seeing fiber-textiles-fabrics-threads transformed-metamorphosed-retooled-reworked-modified-changed in ways that illustrate artist’s ideas and visions.
