HOLIDAY ART SHOW - OPEN CALL
[things/found] Atelier Portland, Oregon

little boxes, BIG ART is our holiday small works show Open Call at [things/found] Atelier in Portland, Oregon. All pieces need to be less than 12-ish x12-ish inches and priced for less than $150. There is a $5 submission fee and the gallery takes a 35% commission on all sold pieces. Artists will be paid within 2 weeks of the last day of the show.
We are looking for small works in all varieties of art. These will most likely be purchased as holiday gifts, but there’s always collectors who buy things for themselves. Whether you make paintings, drawings, woodwork, ceramics, photography, books & zines, textiles, assemblage, collage, jewelry or art made from found things, we would love to see it! We will be displaying work in a salon style so that we can put a lot of work on the walls. We also have some capacity for things that cannot be hung on the wall. We’re interested in all sorts of work!
To submit, please send photographs of up to twenty (20) pieces to angel@thingsfoundatelier.com. The link is at the bottom of the -call for entry- page. If your payment has a different name than the artist’s name, please let us know in the email with the images.
PHOTOGRAPHS: Use a clean, neutral background and show only the artwork. Be sure to shoot your photo straight on. Poor photography may negatively impact juror scores. Images must be 5MB or less and should be a PDF, JPG, or PNG file.
ARTWORK: List the information for each piece separately starting with the title, then list materials, techniques, dimensions. List dimensions as Height x Width x Depth in inches.
ELIGIBILITY: This call is open to all artists in the Portland area who are able to deliver their work to the gallery before the cut off of November 30th.
ENTRY FEE: The fee to submit is $5 for up to twenty(20) entries. Entries close at 11:45pm on November 16th. The link to pay the submission fee is at the bottom of the page on the -call for entry- page on our website. https://www.thingsfoundatelier.com/littleboxes
GALLERY COMMISSION: For work that sells, the artist will receive 65% of the sales price and the gallery will receive 35%. Funds to be paid within two weeks of the close of the show.
NOTIFICATION: We will notify those with accepted work by November 16th.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK: All accepted pieces must be delivered to the gallery during open hours between November 20th and 30th. We will be open Thurs-Fri-Sat 1-6pm November 20-21-22 and open Fri-Sat-Sun 1-6pm November 28-29-30. If you need another time to deliver your work, please make arrangements with Angel.
